Coat or Not Privacy Policy

Coat or Not is a free Android app by Beagle Byte Studio ("we", "us"), based in Serbia. It shows the weather and suggests what to wear. This page explains what data the app uses.
What we collect
We do not run servers for the app, require accounts, or collect your personal data. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting tools. Your settings stay on your device. If Android backup is on, the city you picked may be included in your Google backup. Nothing else from the app is.
Location
The app asks for approximate location only, and only if you grant the Android permission, to get the weather where you are. Before any request is made, the location is rounded to about 1 km. You can also pick a city instead. City search works offline, so nothing is sent while you type. Your location is used only to request a forecast, and it is not sent to us or stored by us. You can withdraw the permission at any time in Android settings.
Weather data
To get a forecast, the app sends the rounded coordinates of the chosen place to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) weather service. As with any internet request, MET Norway receives your IP address and technical request details. See MET Norway's terms of service for how they handle requests. All requests made by the app use encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Advertising
The app shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and device and app information to show and measure ads and prevent fraud. The ads SDK also collects diagnostics, such as crash logs. Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), the app asks for your consent first. You can change your ad consent at any time from “Privacy options” at the bottom of the app's main screen (shown where consent is required). You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings under Google → Ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
